The BIG Two!

Jackson's big day began with him waking up and running down the hall to our bedroom. This was a milestone since it was the first time he's come out of his room before one of us came to get him. Now it's just normal for us to wake up to the pitter patter of feet running down the hall and a voice calling, "Daddy".

After cuddling with our big boy for a little bit it was time to get up and start celebrating. Mommy made him some blueberry muffins for breakfast and then it was time to start opening presents. He's a pro at this gift thing and is sure to get every piece of paper off the gift.

Then we celebrated the big day with lunch and fun at Peter Piper. Jackson was thrilled to have his cousins join us for pizza, cake and fun. By now he knew that this was a very special Saturday and was taking in every minute. He even began to sing along when it was time for "Happy Birthday".
He LOVED his cake - you can't go wrong with trucks and a 2 year old boy. We tried to have the boys take a photo together, but Everett was hungry and upset that we would not give him cake.

It was a fun day and by 2pm Jackson was EXHAUSTED and ready for a 3 hour nap!
